250 m drum of round blue submersible borehole pump cable, 3 core x 1.5mm², manufactured to SANS 1574-3. Class 5 flexible copper conductors with waterproof PVC insulation and sheath rated for continuous immersion. Short-drum special – clearance stock sold as a complete 250 m drum at R18.26 per metre excl. VAT (normal full drums are 500 m). 1 drum of this length available; once sold it's gone.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy part of the drum?
No – short-drum specials are sold as complete drums at the per-metre price. Choose the length closest to your installation, allowing extra for the splice and the run to the control box.
Does this cable have an earth core?
No. It carries the live and neutral conductors to the motor; the pump is earthed through the installation's earth conductor as required by SANS 10142-1.
Is it suitable for drinking-water boreholes?
Yes – waterproof PVC to SANS 1574-3 for continuous immersion, the standard cable for borehole pump installations in South Africa.
How do I join it to the pump motor leads?
Use a submersible cable splice kit (heat-shrink or resin) rated for continuous immersion – we stock them.
