DAB K Twin-Impeller Centrifugal Pump Series

 

Introducing the DAB K Twin-Impeller series, an Italian-built cast iron centrifugal pump engineered for pressurisation and general water supply in domestic, civil and industrial installations. Two impellers running in series produce substantially more head than a single-impeller pump of the same power, which makes this range the practical choice for pressure boosting, filling pressure vessels, sprinkler and irrigation systems, and any duty needing steady pressure at moderate flow.

Unlike a jet pump, the K Twin-Impeller is not self-priming – it must be installed with a flooded suction, drawing from a tank or supply at or above pump level. In return it moves considerably more water: the K 35/100 delivers up to 7.2m³/h against a maximum head of 38.5 metres, roughly double the flow of a domestic jet pump of comparable power.

 

Constructed with a cast iron pump body and motor support for durability and quiet running, the K series carries technopolymer impellers, a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal and an AISI 303 stainless steel shaft. The closed asynchronous motor runs on permanently lubricated, oversized ball bearings with built-in thermo-amperometric protection and a permanently fitted capacitor on single-phase versions. Protection class IP 44, terminal board IP 55, insulation class F, built to CEI 2-3.

Also available fitted with an automatic pump controller, which starts the pump when a tap is opened, stops it when flow ceases, and shuts it down if the water supply runs dry – replacing a pressure vessel and pressure switch in a domestic booster set.

 

1½" suction and 1" discharge ports, maximum operating pressure 6 bar (600 kPa), liquid temperature range -10 °C to +50 °C. Install horizontal or vertical, provided the motor sits above the pump.
