DAB Pumps — Italian Built Water Pumps
Introducing DAB, an Italian manufacturer of water pumping systems founded in Mestrino near Padua in 1975. Five decades on, DAB produces 1.9 million pumps a year across six production facilities and builds one of the widest pump ranges on the market — covering domestic, residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural water handling.
The DAB catalogue spans twelve product families: standard and electronic circulators for heating and hot water, in-line pumps, centrifugal and multistage centrifugal pumps, self-priming jet pumps, submersible drainage and sewage pumps, submersible borehole pumps and motors, packaged pressure units, fire-fighting sets, swimming pool and salt water pumps, and the EsyBox line of integrated electronic pressure boosting systems.
Across that range DAB serves nearly every water application a property will present — pressure boosting, groundwater abstraction, rainwater harvesting, garden and landscape irrigation, agricultural and hydroponic irrigation, livestock and fish farming, swimming pools, drainage, sewage and effluent handling, heating and hot water circulation, solar water heating, water treatment and fire protection.
The engineering is consistent throughout. Pumps are built to CEI standards with insulation class F windings, built-in thermo-amperometric overload protection and permanently fitted capacitors on single-phase versions. Wetted components use stainless steel shafts and carbon/ceramic mechanical seals, with bodies in technopolymer, cast iron or stainless steel according to duty. DAB has also invested heavily in electronics — variable speed drives, integrated pressure control and remote monitoring now run through much of the range.
DAB Jetcom Self-Priming Jet Pumps
A self-priming centrifugal jet pump for domestic water supply and household pressure boosting. A venturi and diffuser clear air from the suction line so the pump recovers prime on its own, where an ordinary centrifugal pump would stop dead. Technopolymer body with a stainless steel wear ring and AISI 416 stainless shaft, maximum suction depth 8 metres, 1" suction and discharge ports. Choose this range when the water sits below the pump.

DAB K Twin-Impeller Centrifugal Pumps
A cast iron centrifugal pump running two impellers in series, producing considerably more head than a single-impeller pump of the same power while still moving good volume. Built for pressurisation units, filling pressure vessels, sprinkler and irrigation systems and general water supply. Cast iron body and motor support, technopolymer impellers, AISI 303 stainless shaft, 1½" suction and 1" discharge. Not self-priming — it requires a flooded suction, so choose this range when the supply is already at or above pump level.

Both ranges run on a standard 230V single-phase supply (1 × 220–240V, 50Hz) with a maximum operating pressure of 6 bar, and each is available as a bare pump or complete with an automatic pump controller fitted. The Auto versions start the pump the moment a tap is opened, stop it when flow ceases and shut it down if the water supply runs dry, replacing a pressure vessel and pressure switch in a household booster set.
