Tesk Borehole Motors and Control Boxes
Tesk 4" oil-filled submersible motors drive 4" borehole pump ends with a NEMA-standard flange, from 0.37 to 7.5 kW, rated for installation up to 100 m. They come in 380V three phase, 230V single phase and 230V three phase (for solar pump inverters). This guide covers motor selection, control and protection boxes, and current prices.

Match the motor kW to the pump end kW exactly. For deeper settings (to 200 m) use PM Technology 4" motors.

Control boxes and protection boxes
A 230V single phase submersible motor needs a control box with its start and run capacitors. A full protection box adds dry-run, overload and voltage protection so the motor is not destroyed if the borehole runs dry.

Which pumps fit a Tesk 4" motor?
Any 4" pump end with a NEMA coupling of the same power — Tesk 4SK, John Tech 4SD and most other 4" borehole pumps.
How deep can the motor be installed?
Tesk oil-filled motors are rated for up to 100 m submersion. For deeper installations choose a PM Technology motor (200 m).
Do I need a control box?
Yes for 230V single phase motors. Three phase motors need a starter with overload protection; a full protection box is recommended for both.
